Organisation
swisscamps – Swiss Camping Association is the national umbrella organisation for campsites in Switzerland. The association represents around 175 campsites in all parts of Switzerland and is organised with 4 regional associations, collective memberships, individual memberships and three commissions.
The association represents the interests of the campsite owners and administrators vis-à-vis authorities, associations and other institutions and is committed to common professional, economic, social and tourist concerns. swisscamps – Verband Schweizerischer Campings looks after, informs and advises its members in all matters relating to camping.
In addition, the association promotes the image of the industry and is involved in providing comprehensive ratings to maintain and improve the quality of Swiss campsites. swisscamps – Swiss Camping Association coordinates a wide range of marketing activities such as participation in tourism fairs throughout Europe, publication of the camping brochure and maintenance of strategic cooperations.
The overriding aim is to position camping as a high-quality form of leisure and holiday planning in the Swiss and European tourism industries.
Our board of directors
The executive committee consists of 12 members and is elected for a term of four years at the delegates' meeting. All regions of Switzerland are adequately represented as far as possible. (last elections June 2020)
